It's unfortunate that the circumstances of that night will go on being played over and over in the victims (family and friends of the victim) until the end of time, but not always is there a true and accurate method of determining what truly happened without the investigative skills of highly trained professionals. It is easy to point fingers and place the blame, but remember that this man who is still very much real and alive has a family and must continue the rest of his life with regret and pain over the incident. He isn't a monster...He isn't a murderer...He too is the victim here...His life will never be the same. And to the first poster...Yeah someone was driving the car, but someone was crossing the road without the right of way...To the second poster....I am truly sorry for your loss and I am sure that you will never be the same, but please rest well knowing that J Brannon is a good soul and he also is a wonderful husband to his wife and I am certain that his heart hurts for all of you and your family. I am not sure how you are led to believe that he was not running code with lights and siren, but I can't for a second believe that this seasoned officer would do anything other than protocol. Again, sorry for your loss.BMWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01845586676792547942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-543047714461868244.post-77910127910770853352008-02-18T17:28:00.000-08:002008-02-18T17:28:00.000-08:00Thank you for writing this...Shaun McCann was my s...Thank you for writing this...Shaun McCann was my step-father...to say the least...he was an incredible man...served in the army...was a loving father...and wonderful husband to my mother...the police made it all out to be his fault...which obviously is now still currently under investigation...and just for the record...the Orange County Officer did not have his light or sirens on...oh...and by the way...he was going 30 miles over the speed limit...Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06239746396042573912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-543047714461868244.post-82679554854400960902007-10-15T10:02:00.000-07:002007-10-15T10:02:00.000-07:00All right I need to understand this. The pedestrian was obviously trying to be hit after all he had on dark glasses alledgedly. Wow the car was protecting itself from the pedestrian wearing the dark glasses. Now that makes perfect senseGeorge Crossleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149211607695798071noreply@blogger.com
